    ​Asharqia Chamber anticipates the second national forum for the sustainability of family enterprises, with two workshops on financing and governance

    Asharqia Chamber will hold, Tuesday, December 13, 2022 AD (from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m), two workshops on alternative financing solutions and governance in family companies, as part of the activities of the Second National Forum for the Sustainability of Family Enterprises, which will start tomorrow, Wednesday, under the Prince patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, Prince of the Eastern Province, in cooperation with the National Center for Family Enterprises, and a group of experts specializing in governance, financing and sustainability of family businesses will lecture.​

    The forum deals with several important axes related to issues of governance, institutionalization, the new corporate system and its impact on family businesses, as well as presenting to the discussion table the findings of the PwC opinion poll on the challenges of family businesses, in addition to opening a discussion on the sources of conflicts and their management in family businesses in the Kingdom.

    The Chairman of the Asharqia Chamber, Badr bin Suleiman Al-Ruzaiza, said that the forum is trying to present an integrated vision of governance applications, institutionalization, and conflict management in family businesses, by focusing on several axes that are seen as topics of importance that family businesses must be aware of, pointing out that The forum, through its five sessions, sheds light on the most prominent developments and national experiences in governance practices, and discusses the new corporate law, which was issued this year, and its implications for the sustainability goals of family businesses, and opens a dialogue about everything related to family businesses and what encourages their owners to adopt governance measures. He called on business owners to attend and benefit from the existing experiences and proposals presented.

    Al-Ruzaiza stressed the importance of spreading the concept of corporate governance, as it represents the parallel path to economic reform efforts, and achieving positive sustainability for the elements of the national economy, on top of which are family businesses, pointing to the importance of family businesses within the composition of the national economy, which places great burdens on them in Facing existing and proposed challenges, in light of the rapid and successive global changes.​
